Nollywood Actress Chika Ike Admits She Has Anger Problem

Nollywood actress and businesswoman, Chika Ike in this recent interview admits that she is working on her hot temper. The movie producer also talked about her new movie 'Miss Teacher. See excerpts What aspect of your childhood prepared you for this career; were you an entertainer or this famous person who had a feeling that one day, I am going to be a superstar? I had this feeling that one day I am going to be in the entertainment industry, because I loved to entertain people like I do in my house. I dance, put on high heels, I loved fashion and then my mother used to say in an Igbo way that I was a fashion freak as a kid. So, definitely, they knew I was going to be in the entertainment industry, but didn't know where because I danced, sang, and dramatised. I was just a happy child. What inspired your going into movie production? 'Miss Teacher' is an advocate movie, which as you all know, I have a Foundation I run. It is called "Chika Ike's Foundation", which is focused on children in the streets. So, I wanted them to see through this movie the plight of children in the streets. To also see from their own perspective what they go through on a daily basis. It is an advocate about the African child in the streets. That was really what motivated me, and also to use my foundation to tell their story from their own point of view. Aside acting, who is Chika Ike? I will speak in the third person. Chika Ike is focused, calculative, not very patient, but working on that. She is very determined and could be the girl next door, the neighbour you do not want to have if offended. What has brought you close to tears in your life, or has life been so smooth for you? Life has not been smooth; many things have brought me to tears. Recently, with things like the Chibok girls' episode and the rest happening in our environment, it really touches a part of me. If I am to write about Chika Ike, what aspect would you want me to erase? I think every part makes a whole me, like being stubborn, happy, being me, just anything makes me, and I would not take any part away. I am quite stubborn sometimes, but that is what makes me.
