President Goodluck Jonathans Convoy involved in Fatal accident...

Mr Umar Shehu, the Nasarawa State
Commissioner of Police has confirmed that the convoy of president Jonathan was involved in a fatal auto crash leaving 14 person injured.
Eyewitnesses say three conventional
policemen, three mobile policemen, one
member of the civil defence corps, one official of the state branch of the
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) & 6
civilians were "seriously injured".
According to Mr. Shehu, the state
government has since released funds for
the treatment of all the victims.
He also noted that some of the victims have
been discharged but those who have
serious fractures were still at the Dalhatu
Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia.
The commissioner said the accident
happened when the vehicle of a prison
officer ran into the convoy of the presi.
and collided with one of the riders, who
somersaulted and thereafter ran into d crowd
"They are all responding to treatment at the
hospital. Some have fractures on their legs.The prison officcer sustained Minor injuries
The president was represented in Lafia for the inauguration of the newly constructed federal High Court Ta'al Model school constructed by the present Governor of the state..
